Next Wave Plastics

NextWave Plastics is a consortium of global companies working collaboratively to keep plastics out of the ocean and in our economy. In 2017, Dell partnered with Lonely Whale to launch the initiative and unite companies across the globe. Together, NextWave member companies are creating the first global network of ocean-bound plastics supply chains, permanently “locking up” materials in their products and packing and inspiring employees, customers and stakeholders to join them in becoming part of the solution. Current members include Bureo, Dell, General Motors, Herman Miller, Humanscale, Interface, and Trek Bicycle with new members being announced in fall 2018.

Partners: Dell, Interface, Herman Miller, Humanscale, General Motors, Bureo, Van de Sant, Trek Bicycles, New Materials Institute, The 5 Gyres Institute, The Story of Stuff, GAIA, governments of Chile, Indonesia, Denmark, Cameroon and Malaysia.
