In the first call for applications for the P4G partnerships Fund, P4G received almost 450 applications from public-private partnerships worldwide seeking funding and facilitation support. Of these, 24 Partnership Finalists have now been selected to receive funding and/or facilitation. They include partnerships in 12 developing countries and have representation from all of P4G’s eight partner countries.
The focus of the 24 partnerships ranges across P4G’s five areas of focus: food and agriculture, water, energy, cities and circular economy, which will also be in focus at the P4G Summit in Copenhagen.
Among the identified 24 partnerships, 10 have been selected to receive start-up funding of up to 100,000 USD and six partnerships have been chosen to receive facilitation support.
Eight partnerships have been selected to submit a full proposal as part of a competitive process to receive up to 1 million USD in scale-up funding. Upon review of the full proposals and approval from the P4G Board of Directors three to five partnerships will be selected for scale-up funding.
The scale-up partnerships selected to receive funding will be announced on the first day of the P4G Copenhagen Summit where they can serve as inspiration for new innovative partnerships as a way to deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals.
